Problem :

During field visits and client interactions, sales teams were still relying on manual order booking methods — using pen and paper, spreadsheets, or outdated tools. This often led to errors in pricing, missing item details, delayed order processing, and lack of real-time access to customer-specific data. It not only slowed down the sales cycle but also hurt customer satisfaction and revenue opportunities.

Solution :

I designed a mobile-first sales order management platform tailored for on-the-go sales representatives. The system allowed users to select customers, browse personalized pricing and product catalogs, place orders instantly, and view order history — all from one intuitive interface. I focused on minimizing taps, enabling offline support, and integrating customer-specific data to create a smart, responsive tool for sales execution.

Challenge :

The key challenge was designing for dynamic use cases in the field — poor connectivity, rapidly changing product inventories, and personalized pricing per customer. I collaborated closely with sales reps to understand their pain points, then built UX flows that worked well even in low-bandwidth conditions. Context-aware recommendations, search optimization, and simplified navigation were prioritized to support fast decision-making during client visits.

Impact :

  • Reduced order placement time by 60% compared to the manual process

  • Enabled 100% order accuracy through real-time validation and customer-specific pricing logic

  • Increased daily orders per salesperson by 2.3× after implementation

  • Improved sales team adoption, with 90%+ active usage in the first 4 weeks

  • Cut customer support queries related to order errors by 45%
